Kristen Snitchler
PhD Student, Biochemistry & Biophysics Research: Using Drosophila to evaluate Amyloid beta’s role in Alzheimer’s disease pathology About Me: I grew up in Virginia, where I got my A.S. at Laurel Ridge community college (formerly Lord Fairfax community college) in 2017. I then moved to Owings Mills, MD to get my B.S. in Biochemistry at Stevenson University in 2019. I completed a 2 year post-bacc program with Andy Byrd in the Center for Structural Biology (CSB) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Frederick, Maryland, before coming to OSU to begin the BB program in 2022. In my research I am exploring the structure-toxicity relationship of amyloid beta oligomers in Drosophila by combining biophysical techniques with cellular toxicity assays. |
